Hohner Koch & Slide Harp
Product Description
The Koch is a not a chromatic harmonica in the strictest sense; the notes are laid out in a similar manner to the diatonic (blues) harmonica. Pushing the slide button raises each note by one semitone, making it possible to play most of the notes of the chromatic scale which are missing on the 10-hole harp. This means it can still be played in "cross" or second position. The Hohner Koch has a pearwood comb, brass 1.05mm reed plate, and is approx 12.3cm in length. Available in keys C or G.
If you want to play jazz or classical style, a chromatic in standard layout is recommended.
The Slide Harp has a similar specification as the Koch, however, it is partially valved, which makes it a more air tight harmonica and enabling easier note bending. Available in C only
