For players demanding a more mellower and darker tone, the Gregoire Maret G-48W, achieves this with the addition of solid tropical rosewood covers. Rosewood has been used for years in musical instrument manufacture, renowned for it's strength, tonal qualities, and moisture resistance. In common with the G-48, the G-48W features highly durable phosphor bronze reeds on a brass reed bed, the body is of ABS resin, weighted with brass.
