Seydel's Standard 12 hole Chromatic harmonica offers a good introduction to chromatic harmonica playing. The brass reedplates are attached to a plastic comb, the cover plates are polished stainless steel and has a tough plastic mouthpiece. The Standard is easy to play and has a bright clear tone. This instrument comes without windsavers, which has an advantage when playing in various settings, especially outdoors, where condensation can be a detriment to chromatics fitted with windsavers, which can cause sticking, thus loosing tone.
