In the last few years, the market for books, tapes, DVDs and CDs about the harmonica has really exploded. Beginning and intermediate players are no longer content to make do with the flimsy insert that was wrapped around their first Chinese harp. Advanced players want advice on the latest techniques and an ever more extensive repertoire.

Many harmonica players and teachers have risen to the challenge. Books by people such as David Harp and Charlie McCoy from the USA and Don Baker and Steve Baker (no relation!) from this side of the pond have opened up the mysteries of the harmonica to many thousands of new harpists.
